  • Ben Jacobs is a freshman at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Ben developed an interest in economics and finance after hearing about the stock market and how much it affected people, especially during the aftermath of the great recession as well as the Covid-19 pandemic. He soon began to realize that there was much more to finance than the breaking news headlines of the S & P 500. Ben claims that the biggest contributor to his interest was a 2014 Harvard Study that found Charlotte to be the least socially mobile city of the 50 most populous areas in the US. He soon found the issue of financial literacy and education to be one of the largest culprits of Charlotte's socio-economic imbalances. This encouraged him, Griffin Bohmfalk, and his twin brother, Ethan Jacobs, to create a financial literacy club at his school, and has since expanded this into Tickets2TheFuture with Alex Jones to engage his community and make an impact on this vital issue. When Ben is not working as an advocate for socio-economic equality, he can be found at a Hornets game or sitting down and reading a good book.

  • Griffin Bohmfalk is a freshman in The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Honors Carolina Program. He is a pre-business and political science double major and German minor, with plans to apply to the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Growing up in a banking household in Charlotte, NC, he has always been exposed to economics and finance. With a great appreciation for the value of financial literacy, Griffin has set his sights on centering his academic and future career around economics. Leading and participating in multiple economic clubs, enrolling in several advanced economic courses, and engaging in constant debates about fiscal policies are just some of the things he indulges in while his passion for economics continues to grow and flourish. Hoping to establish better opportunities and learning environments for those who were not already exposed to the world of economics, he co-founded the financial literacy club alongside Ben and Ethan Jacobs at Myers Park High School. The next step after their success at the school level was to expand the scope of their impact on the community of Charlotte, hence the founding of Tickets2TheFuture. Griffin spent his time at Tickets2TheFuture bringing together other students with passions for economics and volunteering as well as serving as Community and Outreach Director. He now serves as a Board Member along with fellow cofounders and other company executives.

  • Ethan Jacobs is a freshman attending Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Ethan is interested in economics, the stock market, and particularly how global events impact our own daily lives. When Ethan got the chance to manage his own stock portfolio, he found there were many lessons that he wished he had learned before making basic mistakes with his finances. It was because of this realization that he wanted to make sure that everyone in his community had the opportunity to learn about finance. So, he and his friends started a financial literacy club at their school. The club boasts a sizable membership and is well known at Myers Park for imparting key information to young students about the world of finance and its many opportunities. In addition to managing this club, Ethan is a captain on his debate team, where he spends his days behind podiums, making arguments about the events that shape our world. Outside of his academic and professional endeavors, Ethan likes to hang out with friends, play video games, and read books.
